It’s a truism that with inspiration one works better and is more likely to produce better results. However, one does not wait for inspiration to come before starting work. One usually has to work hard and in the process, inspiration strikes and great things happen.

|
|
This exhibition is about discovery – discovering oneself; what one can do. The artists have ideas and they develop their ideas along the way rather than plan everything completely beforehand. They don’t wait to be frightened by their blank canvases or for inspiration to come. They just do it and do it daringly. Their works are spontaneous, bold and colourful and they reflect lively, inquiring minds.

Participating in this exhibition are established artists, Yeo Hoe Koon, Choy Weng Yang, Teo Eng Seng, Poh Siew Wah, Lim Yew Kuan, Tang Da Wu, Tumadi B Patri, and Loy Chye Chuan, and Cristene Chang Hoei, a well known print maker, and Poh Ju Yong, an experimentalist. We take great pleasure in introducing new art graduate, Chua Yong Lin.
